DESCRIPTION:
Seeking to fill Camp Host positions from May through September 2022.
The Albeni Falls Project in scenic North Idaho is recruiting Camp Hosts! General job duties include stocking and maintaining day use and restroom facilities, collecting credit card fees using the recreation.gov reservation system, and assisting campers from across North America. Full hookups (water, sewer, electric) are provided in exchange for 24 hours/week of volunteering. Positions available at the following locations at Alebni Falls Dam: Albeni Cove, Priest River and Springy Point.
1. Campground Maintenance: Stocking and cleaning restroom and shower facilities, cleaning fire pits, emptying trash cans, and picking up litter as needed.
2. Fee Collection: Using a computer, credit card reader, and the recreation.gov system to collect fees for extra vehicles and campsites as needed. Performing nightly shift reporting and weekly deposit reports.
3. Visitor Assistance: Answering regular questions, explaining rules, and interacting positively with campers from all backgrounds. Collecting paper check-in sheets, registering campers, and checking them in/out of recreation.gov. Reporting safety issues to Ranger staff promptly and through appropriate channels as needed.
Volunteers must each work 24 hours per week to be eligible for RV/Trailer pad with full hookups.
