The Campground Spotter and Host will serve as liaison between campers and campground staff.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Greet and assist visitors, answer questions and explain regulations.
Assist with camper reservation process if needed.
Keep a report of occupied or vacant campsites.
Assist campers in locating an RV Site.
Be familiar with local location of services that might be requested by campers such as towing, groceries, churches and the fairgrounds events.
Perform light maintenance work around the campground such as litter pickup.
Clean RV sites and camp sites by performing minor maintenance tasks such as picking up litter.
Set an example by being a model camper practicing good housekeeping at all times in and around their assigned site and by observing all rules and regulations.
Keep a written report of complaints, criticism and problems with campground and report such situations to FSFA management.

 

 

Fair Responsibilities:

 

Be prepared to provide campground coverage at any hour, day or night during the Florida State Fair (February).

 

Experience and Skills
QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or equivalent.

 

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Ability to get along well with people.
Ability to remain calm and friendly.
Ability to physically get out and make rounds through campground area.
Ability to adapt to changing work conditions.
A good knowledge of campground and surrounding area.
Have a valid Driver’s License
Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
Must be able to lift 30 pounds
Strong work ethic and values

 

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS:

Must have ability to stand, sit, hear, taste/smell, use hands, walk, talk, reach with hands and arms, and have the ability to visual depth perception. Also need to have the ability to stoop, kneel, crawl and crouch, climb or balance, and lift or move more than 20 pounds. There is exposure to environmental demands including wet/humid weather, working in high, precarious places, being exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals; extreme temperatures (non-weather), and risk of electrical shock. There is also work near mechanical parts, exposure to fumes or airborne particles, and exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
