Open visitor center and outdoor fort exhibit, welcome and orient visitors, collect fees and issue passes, help with closing, enjoy learning and sharing history.
Looking for someone who has a background check and PIV card that allows them to handle funds for federal land agencies, but willing to consider someone able to complete the multi-step background check including two trips to a federal building two hours away in Portland.
Help with the daily opening and closing of the visitor center and fort. Greet and orient visitors, collect admission fees, sell America the Beautiful passes, & answer questions about the area including the winter the Lewis and Clark Expedition camped at Fort Clatsop as well as give tours to groups. This work occurs all year and a small 30 amp RV site at a nearby campground may be provided for someone working at least three full days per week for a month or more.
