Tired of working in the sweltering summer heat? If so, your new summer camp spot lies in tranquil Spearfish Canyon with a camp spot on the water’s edge of Spearfish Creek in the Black Hills of South Dakota. Canyon life is great, with warm summer days and evenings cool enough you will barely need to run your A/C. Look forward to relaxing at the creek side and watching the trout feed in the clear evening waters.
This position is responsible for guest check-ins and general questions from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM 3 days per week and 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM 2 days per week. This is a couples-only position to be able to cover the longer 2-day shift. Other responsibilities include maintenance and upkeep of the facilities, including cabin repairs, lawn & grounds maintenance, special projects, and more. Knowledge of landscaping maintenance, repairs of plumbing, electrical, good mechanical skills, woodworking, etc. preferred but not required.
These positions require computer literacy as this role involves taking reservations. Candidates must be able to work well with others and have great customer service skills.
We are looking for folks who enjoy serving guests, who are willing to work, can get along well with others, have a positive attitude, and are willing to be flexible in their job assignments. We offer a 30-amp full hook-up site with free access to wi-fi, laundry, and a discount on propane. Along with the beautiful creek side full hook-up site, we offer $1,500.00 per month for 20 hours of on-call work per work week and 24 hours per week (12 hours per person) assisting with guest check-ins, landscape maintenance, and assisting the cleaning team when short-staffed. In addition, we pay $11.00/hour for hours worked over what is being required. The year-end profit-sharing plan averages an additional $2,000.00 and is paid at the end of October.
