DESCRIPTION:
Rock House Recreation Area is situated along the California-side of the lower Colorado River within the Parker Strip Recreation Area. This site provides river access, a boat launch, shaded benches, a visitor center, and restrooms. Visitors enjoy this river front site year-round. This area is best for boat launching and river access on the lower Colorado River. An on-site winter BLM volunteer site host can help visitors with any questions or concerns.
Camp hosts are expected to volunteer 35 hours per week. Duties include maintaining restrooms and visitor center, maintaining cleanliness of outdoor area, manning visitor center, greeting the public, and answering any questions the public may have.
Good with public, reliable, organized, and being able to perform light maintenance duties.
