DESCRIPTION:

The Roseburg BLM is looking for 3 volunteer hosts/host couples for Susan Creek Campground, Eagleview Group Campground and Scaredman Campground for the 2022 camping season.

Campground Host Positions   Roseburg Oregon Bureau of Land Management

Roseburg Oregon Bureau of Land Management seeks campground hosts for the 2022 camping season. Season dates are early May to late November. Our small family campgrounds are located in old-growth forest settings along Canton Creek and the North & main stem of the Umpqua River.

We are hiring hosts for the following campgrounds in 2022: Susan Creek, Eagleview Group Campground and Scaredman Campground.

Susan Creek is our largest campground with 29 sites. About half of these sites available for reservations. Propane, water hookups, golf cart, tools and supplies. We employ two hosts or host couples at this campground to give our visitors the best service. This campground has flush toilets with a shower facility. It is located right along the North Umpqua River. We are looking for one additional host or host couple.

Eagleview Group Campground –   is a Full Hook Up covered host site, small monthly reimbursement, on-site washer and dryer, and golf cart for carrying supplies. Eagleview is a small reservable group campground with two vault toilets. It also has a day use area and picnic pavilion that is very popular during the season.

Scaredman Campground is best suited for those who want a more rustic experience as this site does not have many amenities. This is a small campground with 10 sites and one vault toilet. Located along the beautiful Canton Creek in old growth forest.

Host Duties

Host duties include providing visitor information, restroom and campsite cleaning, and litter pickup. No money handling, computer work or taking reservations. Hosts at Susan Creek do post reservations in the campground. Hosts receive a small reimbursement each month.

Hosts may elect to have Satellite TV coverage/internet access. The host is responsible for establishing the service and the cost. There is cell coverage in most campgrounds and coverage within five minutes of the rest. Google “Roseburg BLM recreation” or visit our family-oriented campgrounds on-line at: https://www.blm.gov/visit You can also search on Recreation.gov
