Job Description
We are a family owned and operated campground resort in Central IL and are looking for workcampers to join our team. We need dependable couples or individuals for the 2022 camping season (April through October preferred). We’re looking for people who are honest, trustworthy team players with friendly attitudes and good people skills. Outgoing and positive personalities are a plus.
Our park is located just 2 ½ minutes to beautiful Lake Shelbyville, which is the 3rd largest manmade lake in our state. Plus, we’re only 5 minutes from the town of Shelbyville for shopping, restaurants and our small-town movie theater.
The positions we currently have open to fill are general maintenance and bathhouse supervisor.
Job duties include one or more of the following for the general maintenance position:
Ground maintenance – mowing, weed eating, cleaning sites after departures, escorting customers to sites, pump outs and small construction/maintenance projects.
Pool maintenance – reading and adjusting pool chemicals as necessary, keeping both the outside area and the pool itself clean and free of debris.
Housekeeping of cabins – cleaning ceiling fans and A/C units, keeping the outside of the cabins clean, and small repairs as needed.
Basic knowledge of electric, small engines, carpentry, pool care would be helpful, but is not required, we can train as needed.
For the General Maintenance position, we offer a FHU site and free electric (per couple), discounted propane, free laundry and WiFi. For 24hrs/week couple or 40hrs a person. $10/hr overtime. 2 days off a week, must work holidays and weekends (can be on rotation).
For the Bathhouse supervisor position, we are looking for a couple to work together to keep our two bathhouses in immaculate condition. With that we are offering a FHU site, free electric, discounted propane, free laundry and WiFi. Plus $15/hr per couple. Work 5 days a week, weekends and holidays are required. Bathrooms cleaned a minimum of 4 times a day, one day a month of deep cleaning/power washing, and stock/keep inventory.
Schedules are flexible and later start dates may be available. You must have your own camper. We also provide a yearly loyalty bonus at the end of the season for our valued employees.
