Indian Celina Rec Area / Tipsaw Recreation Area

Black Mountain and Briar Bottom
Carolina Hemlocks Recreation Area
Van Hook Glade & Cliffside Lake Recreation Area

Qualifications:

  1. Ability to work successfully as part of a team as well as assume independent responsibilities.
  2. Possess strong verbal communication skills to ensure exceptional customer service, including conflict resolution skills.  Ensures “Good Host” concepts are utilized with every staff contact with public.
  3. Each host position is a 2 person team.  Limited availability to accommodate a single person as a host.
  4. Must have your own RV/Camper
  5. Minimum two or three month commitment

Administers:                    Fee Collection, Information and Customer Service
Purpose of Job:               Ensuring that campers have a pleasant and safe visit

Detailed Responsibilities:

  1. Rake/clean campsites and other campground facilities.
  2. Remove and disposes of ashes/wood in fire rings.
  3. Pick up litter (small items only.)
  4. Responsibilities include greeting and registering guests and collecting user fees.
  5. Cleans restrooms to ensure cleanliness and appropriate paper products are available.
  6. Assists with mowing and grounds maintenance.
  7. Assists in weekly inspection of campgrounds.
  8. Uses “Good Host” concepts with the public.
  9. Identifies safety hazards with Manager.
  10. Responsible for provision of information about facility and area, act as liaisons with forest visitors, perform security patrols, act as back-up to management in areas of public contact and security, assist in recruiting staff.
  11. Attends meetings held regularly during the season as a combination of planning work
  12. assignments and training opportunities.
  13. Be present nights, weekends & holidays.  Absences coordinated with manager.
