RV INFORMATION: Trailer pad at Mather Campground. Utilities will be paid by the park.

DESCRIPTION

Volunteer Activities• Campground Host Description Maintain own campsite in accordance with all park regulations and set a good example for other campers. Provide own RV or camper, maximum length of 34 ft. Maintain a neat, tidy and organized work area. Uniform shirts, jacket and hats provided. Show up for scheduled hours and days, work schedule will be discussed upon hiring. Interpret campground regulations and directions, and assist the camper as best as possible. Report any hazards in or out of the campground to the campground rangers. Periodically make rounds in order to update campground rangers and remind campers of rules and regulations. Any law enforcement issues will be reported to staff rangers when on duty or Law Enforcement after hours. Litter pick up in campsites and along campground roadways. Clean 20-40 fire pits daily, removing ashes and debris, be able to lift 40lbs. Must be able to routinely walk 2 miles. Assist campers after hours as needed. Drive a government vehicle e.g. truck or golf cart. Work 4 days and 3 days off. No Wi-Fi at campground.  Wi-Fi at General Store next to campground.  Wi-Fi at library and park headquarters. Spotty cell phone service at campground.  Verizon is the best provider and reception is good around the village. Volunteer will need to provide 5th-wheel or RV nomore than 30′, park will pay for utilities. Contact David_Thomson@nps.gov for questions.
