The Spokane Yacht Club seeks a seasonal Volunteer Camp Host for the 2022 summer season.
About the Spokane Yacht Club
The Spokane Yacht Club is a family-oriented membership organization of boating enthusiasts located on the Spokane River in beautiful Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho. We are inviting applicants who are self-motivated individuals who wish to live on the river in exchange for property maintenance and host services. This is a gated, 7 acre facility with one bathhouse, barbecue patio and meeting space with restrooms.
Qualifications
· Applicants should be at least 21 years of age.
· Hold a valid driver’s license.
· Subject to a background check.
· Able to operate a small tractor, riding and push lawn mowers, weed eater, and small hand tools.
· Ability to lift 50 pounds.
· Ability to get along with people.
· Excellent communication skills.
· Ability to maneuver the property & docks.
Duration and Duties
This position is available April – September, specific dates may be negotiable and extended. Work hours: 20-32 hours per week. Host is expected to be on-site and on-call 4 days per week, including most weekends and holidays.
Duties include but may not be exclusively limited to:
Grounds maintenance: mowing using a combination of small tractor, riding mower and push mower, trimming, weeding, watering, management of sprinkler system (schedule and minor repairs as needed).
Janitorial services: clean and stock restrooms, removal of trash from common areas, replace light bulbs, clean windows,
Provide property security and greet and grant access to authorized guests as needed.
Manage club supplies and equipment, including minor maintenance.
