AVAILABILITY: 5/1/2020–9/30/2020
RV INFORMATION: Volunteers are required to provide 20 hours of week service for a full service campsite, which includes 50 amp electric, water, and sewer.
DESCRIPTION
Volunteer Activities• Campground Host Photo Courtesy of USACE DescriptionPark Maintenance: Volunteer(s) will perform various light duty maintenance work to include: painting, staining, light carpentry work (repair/replace rotted or damaged boards on bulletin boards and picnic tables). Minor landscaping to include: pruning, weeding flowerbeds, planting and watering trees/shrubs, etc. Maintain existing trails by removing litter and encroaching vegetation using hand tools such as shovels, rakes, loppers, and handsaws. Some duties will be performed alone or with the Maintenance or Ranger staff. Volunteer(s) will be provided with all required supplies and tools to complete the assigned jobs. Volunteers are required to provide 20 hours of week service for a full service campsite, which includes 50 amp electric, water, and sewer. Position is on a 90-day trial with an extension if work is completed at a satisfactory level. Length of stay is not to exceed September 30.
