CAMPGROUND: Volunteer Park Caretaker

AVAILABILITY: 1/15/2020–1/15/2021

RV INFORMATION: In return, the volunteers will receive a free campsite which is located in a fenced in area designed only for the park caretakers which includes; electrical, water, sewer, garbage pick-up, picnic table and fire ring.

Volunteer Activities• Other • Trail/Campground Maintenance • General Assistance DescriptionVolunteer Park Caretakers: This Position is Year Round 2020 Paintsville Lake is looking for a volunteer park caretaker Year Around capable of volunteering approximately 25 hours each week. Caretaker must provide a Camper and would be stationed at the Dam site Recreation Area where there is an alcohol ban throughout the property. The job would consist of mowing non-typical areas with a riding lawn mower and weed eater, painting, and brush clearing, policing the area and cleaning restrooms. They must be capable of performing physical work duties in an outdoors environment. Volunteers will also serve in a surveillance capacity and as a point of contact between Park Rangers and the many visitors who frequent the area. All necessary equipment, fuel, safety equipment as well as all necessary cleaning supplies will be provided.
