Maintenance
Volunteer
Job Description
Enjoy the summer at beautiful Lake Red Rock in central Iowa. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is currently seeking volunteers to fill 3 custodial positions and one camp host position in our campgrounds and recreation areas.
Enjoy scenic views and quiet living at Iowas largest lake. We’re located just a few minute’s drive from the towns of Pella, Iowa (a quaint, Dutch community, and home to the popular, annual “Tulip Time” Festival) and Knoxville, Iowa (the “Sprint Car Capital of the World”). So whether your perfect, lazy day off involves Dutch pastries and shopping, or cold drinks and race cars – we’ve got you covered!
A free, full-service campsite is provided in exchange for service averaging approximately 24 hours per week. Duties may include cleaning restrooms, welcoming campers, and general groundskeeping. All positions require a season-long commitment from April through October 2023.
Come spend the summer with us and experience “Iowa Nice” and “Midwest Friendly” firsthand. Singles, couples, and pets welcome!
