Volunteer Activities• Campground Host • Other • Trail/Campground Maintenance • General Assistance Photo Courtesy of USACE DescriptionPark Host/Maintenance/Cottonwood Point Campground: If you like Marion Reservoir- you’ll love living and working here! Did you know our six parks and 12,000+ acres of land and water are visited by 500,000 people every year, but maintained by only a small handful of folks? You can be a critical member of our team by living and working at Marion Reservoir. We need two resident volunteers (either two individuals, or two couples) to work alongside other volunteers, Rangers, and maintenance staff to maintain our Cottonwood Point campground and help complete the much anticipated “expansion”. Work focuses on maintenance (building shelter tops, installing cookers, trimming trees, picking up litter, etc.), but volunteers also monitor park use and serve as ambassadors by welcoming visitors and providing information. So if you are available from mid April through late October (negotiable), own a camper, and have a desire to work hard and play harder, we encourage you to contact Scott A. McCrone Park Ranger at (620)-382-2101 Ext: 8618. Volunteers are always needed for a variety of locations and work at Marion Reservoir.
