DESCRIPTION:
Seeking to fill a Host Maintenance position at Cape Perpetua Scenic Area.
A host couple is needed for a Maintenance position at the spectacular Cape Perpetua Scenic Area in the Siuslaw National Forest from June 2022 to October 2022.
We offer an RV site right here at Cape Perpetua. Hookups include water, sewer, 50 amp electrical, and wireless internet. Reimbursement for propane usage and .14$ a mile reimbursement for daily travel to work site. Cell phone coverage is spotty. There is a washer and dryer currently at Cape Perpetua.
Duties include maintaining and cleaning 4 area restrooms 5 days a week. Two of these are restrooms and two are vault toilets. Volunteers will assist the Forest Service Developed Recreation Technician with projects, facility maintenance, and grounds keeping as needed.
The position requires the ability to lift 40 pounds . Volunteer will provide friendly visitor service in the course of performing duties.
Applicant will be required to obtain a Forest Service Driver’s license and wear a volunteer vest and uniform outerwear provided by the Forest Service.

The Cape Perpetua Scenic Area has 26 miles of hiking trails, magnificent old-growth coastal rainforest, wilderness areas, and an off-shore Marine Reserve.
