Volunteer Activities• Campground Host • Other • Trail/Campground Maintenance • Visitor Information • General Assistance DescriptionCamp Host/Light Maintenance/Staffing Visitor Center: Rough River Lake is looking for couples or individuals who love to camp and would be interested in volunteering for a summer position. Typical Duties would include but not be limited to: being a point of contact for visitors, meet and greet campers, promote the Corps water safety initiative, Light maintenance duties, trail maintenance, promote and assist with campground programs, minor trash pickup duties, staffing the visitor center and other duties that may arise though out the season. Hours required: Working 20 hours per week (including weekends and holidays). Volunteers would have 5 days on and 2 days off per week. Requirements: (1) Host must provide their own camper (must be in good repair and appearance) (2) Ability to communicate effectively with the public (3) Ability to maintain a set schedule and turn in progress report of duties performed (4) Willingness to commit to a long term agreement IF you are looking for a fun and exciting place to land this summer, come to Rough River Lake.
