Position Overview:As a Guest Relations Workamper, you will be the face of Beyonder Camps, providing an unforgettable experience to our guests. You will specialize in one of five key areas: Front Desk/Store, Maintenance, Housekeeping, Deck Hand or Wait Staff/Bartender. All positions will assist with guest activities held throughout the month.
Key Responsibilities:
- Front Desk/Store: Manage check-ins/check-outs, handle reservations, provide local information, operate the camp store, and ensure guest satisfaction.
In the Front Desk/Store specialization at Beyonder Camps, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for an exceptional camping experience. This role requires a blend of hospitality and retail skills. You’ll manage all aspects of guest check-ins and check-outs, ensuring a smooth and welcoming process. Handling reservations, you will showcase your organizational skills and attention to detail. Your role extends beyond the front desk as you’ll also operate the camp store, a central hub for guests to purchase supplies, souvenirs, and snacks. This position demands excellent communication skills, as you’ll provide guests with information about camp amenities, local attractions, and outdoor activities. You’ll also handle any guest inquiries or issues, demonstrating problem-solving abilities and a commitment to outstanding service. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy interacting with people from diverse backgrounds, and have a genuine passion for enhancing the overall camping experience.
- Maintenance: Oversee campground upkeep, conduct minor repairs, maintain outdoor areas, and assist in setting up camp facilities.
In the Maintenance specialty at Beyonder Camps, your role is pivotal in ensuring a safe, functional, and aesthetically pleasing camping environment. This position goes beyond traditional maintenance tasks; it involves a proactive approach to campground upkeep, including conducting regular inspections and performing minor repairs on facilities, equipment, and infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include maintaining the pristine condition of outdoor areas, such as trails, picnic spots, and communal spaces, ensuring they are always ready for guest enjoyment. Additionally, a unique aspect of this role involves assisting with checking guests in and out for various amenities like bikes, kayaks, and other recreational equipment, requiring you to have a keen eye for detail and inventory management. Your interaction with guests during these moments provides an opportunity to enhance their experience by offering tips on equipment usage and suggesting best spots for their activities. Effective communication skills, a hands-on approach, and a strong sense of responsibility are crucial in this role, as you will be instrumental in ensuring that all aspects of the campground are functioning smoothly and safely, directly contributing to the overall satisfaction of our guests.
- Housekeeping: Ensure cleanliness and orderliness of cabins, restrooms, and common areas, manage laundry operations, and uphold hygiene standards.
In the Housekeeping specialty at Beyonder Camps, your role is essential in providing a comfortable and clean environment for our guests. Focused on maintaining cabins units, you will be responsible for ensuring that each lodging option is impeccably clean and welcoming for incoming guests. This involves thorough cleaning of rooms, bathrooms, and common areas, managing laundry operations, and restocking necessary supplies. Attention to detail is key, as you will be required to inspect each room for maintenance needs and report any issues promptly. The role extends beyond just cleaning; it’s about creating a homely atmosphere for guests who are often seeking a retreat in nature. You’ll have the opportunity to demonstrate your organizational skills and efficiency in managing multiple tasks. Additionally, your role may involve interacting with guests, providing a friendly face and assisting with any housekeeping-related requests they may have. This position is perfect for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys working in a dynamic environment, and understands the importance of cleanliness and comfort in enhancing the overall guest experience at our cabins.
The Dock Hand – Marina Specialist plays a crucial role in the day-to-day operations of a marina, ensuring smooth and efficient service for all boating guests. This position involves a variety of responsibilities, including assisting with the careful docking and undocking of boats, offering a helping hand with mooring, securing vessels to prevent damage, and providing guidance to guests on navigating the marina. Beyond these tasks, the Dock Hand is also responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the dock and surrounding areas, promptly addressing any hazards or spills to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff alike. Additionally, they may be called upon to fuel boats, assist with minor repairs and maintenance of docks and boats, and support the marina’s operations by keeping accurate records of dock usage and guest services. With a focus on customer service, the Dock Hand – Marina Specialist is often the first point of contact for guests, requiring a friendly, helpful demeanor and the ability to provide information on marina services and local maritime regulations. Their role is essential in creating a welcoming, efficient, and safe marina experience.
The Marina Bar Bartender/Server/Hostess occupies a dynamic and multifaceted role within the marina’s hospitality setting, serving as the face of the establishment and a key player in ensuring a memorable experience for guests. This individual is adept at seamlessly shifting between the roles of welcoming hostess, meticulous bartender, and attentive server, depending on the needs of the moment. They greet guests with a warm smile, efficiently manage seating arrangements, and handle reservations to ensure a smooth flow within the dining and bar areas. As a bartender, they possess a deep knowledge of mixology, crafting a wide range of beverages from classic cocktails to custom requests, all while maintaining an engaging rapport with patrons. In their server capacity, they exhibit exceptional attention to detail in taking orders, serving food and drinks, and addressing any dietary restrictions or preferences, ensuring that every guest feels valued and well-cared-for. Beyond their service duties, they also play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the bar and dining spaces, adhering to health and safety standards to provide a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone. The Marina Bar Bartender/Server/Hostess is essential in creating an atmosphere that encourages guests to relax, unwind, and enjoy their time at the marina.
Qualifications:
- Passion for the outdoors and camping.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Previous experience in hospitality, retail, or maintenance is a plus.
- Must be able to commit to the full season.

Compensation:
- Beyonder will provide a FREE RV site consisting of: 1 site for your rig and tow vehicle, which is equipped with water, electric & sewer hookups and park WiFI with the work camper’s responsibility for the electricity bill over $75 per month. Site monthly value of $750.
- In the case of only one of the couple is the work camper or a single work camper, their site would be a monthly rate of 50% off the monthly rate (approx $375 owed monthly).
- All hours paid at $12.30-14 per hour (based upon experience and position). (Avg of 24-30 hours a week, +\- depending on needs of the General Manager of the park).
- The value of your site will be excluded from your gross income for federal tax purposes.
- 15% discount on all store purchases.
- Propane at cost.
- We also pay a $500 bonus upon satisfactory completion of this agreement. (minimum 5 months)
