Job Description
If you are passionate about natural resources and making a difference, consider investing your time with City of Lakewood Parks. Camp Hosts are the welcoming face of Bear Creek Lake Park, helping create a friendly, safe, and memorable experience for thousands of visitors each season.
This position runs from April 1 – October 31 and works primarily outdoors in the changing Colorado weather. A minimum of 25 hours of volunteer time per week is required with 2 consecutive days off provided per week. Compensation for the position includes a host campsite with full utility hookups, and a Bear Creek Lake Park Annual Pass.
Campground host duties include: light maintenance of campsites, monitoring campsite occupancy and rules compliance, assisting with posting reservation tags, rules education and firewood sales.
Bear Creek Lake Park is located at C-470 and 285, comprised of 2,600 acres with 3 lakes: Big Soda (Swim Beach), Little Soda and Bear Creek Lake. We have a 47-site electric hook-up campground, 3 cabins, and 2 yurts. The campground operates on a reservation system and is typically at capacity throughout most of the season.
