The Belton Lake Volunteer Team assists matching individual volunteers’ strengths and interests to positions available to ensure you make the most of your time on our team! They must possess the ability to effectively work with all kinds of people, other volunteers, staff and contractors to maintain a healthy working environment while at Belton Lake.
Belton is seeking to fill multiple Volunteer positions at Belton Lake to include:
Office/Park Maintenance Host – Do you enjoy working primarily outdoors and with your hands? Work with a team to complete basic cleaning and repairs of plumbing, electrical, and construction maintenance tasks around your assigned park or around the lake. General repair/maintenance skills preferred but not required.
Park Host – Do you enjoy visitor assistance and close connections with visitors and families? Park hosts are visitor-focused and assist campers with their reservations and ensure they receive all the information necessary to make their stay great! Park Hosts also assist in general cleaning of facilities and sites. Will be required to work in the gatehouse with potential to sell America The Beautiful & USACE passes. General computer and application skills required. Experience with visitor assistance, Microsoft Office programs, iPADs, applications, and e-mail preferred but not required.
Administrative– Do you possess strong skills in an office atmosphere and want to work in a convenient location? Our Admin work a set weekly schedule at the Belton Lake Office assisting the public and staff by answering phones, processing documents, responding to e-mails and providing visitor assistance. May be required to sell America The Beautiful & USACE passes. Strong communication skills and general computer and application skills required. Experience with customer service, point of sales systems, phones, Microsoft Office Programs, and e-mail preferred but not required.
Lodging: The position requires a minimum of 96 hours per month (24 hours/week) in exchange for an RV site with full hookups (30/50 amp electric, water and sewer). Some sites provide small sheds for personal use, as availability allows. Volunteers are required to provide their own licensed transportation with insurance and fuel for any duties they perform. The volunteer will be required to provide their own living quarters; RV must be presentable, registered, titled and kept in working condition. Living accommodations require full living arrangements to be all-inclusive to their RV. Truck bed campers and tents are not acceptable living arrangements.
