ADDRESS: PO Box 1888, 340 North Cache  null, Wyoming, 83001

DATES: 2025-05-26

DEPT: Forest Service

JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are actively recruiting a campground ambassador for the Boulder Lake Campground. Boulder Lake Campground is located 25 miles from Pinedale and approximately 13 miles from the small community of Boulder. The campground is tucked away in a grove of aspen trees adjacent to where Boulder Creek flows into Boulder Lake. This campground is one of our “less busy” campgrounds and many visitors enjoy it for that reason. However, like any campground, it can get busy during the summer season and on holiday weekends. A private camping site will be set aside for the campground ambassador to stay at. There are no trailer/RV hook ups available and the campground ambassador would be dry camping.

A camping ambassador is someone who provides visitors with education, information and keeps an eye on overall conditions of the area. They greet campers, ensure they are staying in a designated site, and provide them with information on how to camp responsibly: proper food storage in bear country, remembering to put out fires, and pack out trash.

Couples are welcome to apply, per diem reimbursement may be available, and start/end dates are somewhat flexible. You must have your own RV or trailer for this volunteer opportunity. The town of Pinedale has all the amenities you might need, including a grocery store, post office, many restaurants, a recreation center, laundromat, and a recently-built hospital.
