Job Description
We are seeking a friendly and dependable Volunteer Campground Host to assist with the day-to-day operations of our small campground, which features a few cozy cabins and beautiful natural surroundings. This is a wonderful opportunity for individuals who enjoy outdoor work, meeting travelers, and contributing to a welcoming outdoor community.
Responsibilities:
– Provide a friendly presence and assistance to campers and visitors
– Perform light maintenance and property upkeep to ensure cleanliness and safety
– Assist with light cleaning of communal areas and cabins as needed
– Manage and operate a small on-site store for a few hours each week
– Monitor the campground, report any issues, and ensure rules are followed
– Offer local information to visitors about Guadalupe Mountains National Park and surrounding area
Qualifications:
– Friendly, approachable, and customer-service oriented
– Comfortable performing light physical tasks and maintenance
– Self-motivated with a flexible, positive attitude
– Ability to work independently and adapt to a dynamic environment
– Experience in hospitality, maintenance, or retail is a plus but not required
