JOB DESCRIPTION:
Carters Lake is a hidden gem located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains and nearby to several desirable mountain towns. Hosts will be supported by Park Rangers and contracted Law Enforcement patrols. Daily duty times are 9am-9pm for expected campground host availability. Hosts typically work 4-on/4-off or 3-on/6 off schedule (dependent on 2 or 3 host teams) in exchange for a spacious 50/30-amp full hook up site on location and access to free washer/dryer. Host must have the ability to converse and work well with the public, work well as part of a team, follow procedures and rules, but make safe judgment calls in the event of undefined situations, walk average distances and manage some sloped sidewalks. Hosts must be adult and capable of lifting at least 20-30lbs.
Host will be required to: track incoming reservations online- Recreation.gov, post site paperwork to complete camper self-check-in, basic site cleaning- blowing off debris, cleaning out fire pits and grills as needed when sites are vacated, interact with the public, provide information while in the park, light landscaping- weed eating site perimeters and light mowing select areas with zero-turn or self-propelled mower
