Volunteer Campground Host

Position Summary:

Riverside Campground, located along the North Platte River with views of the Scotts Bluff National Monument in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, is seeking a friendly, responsible, and service-oriented individual or couple to serve as Volunteer Campground Host. As a host, you’ll be the welcoming face of the campground, helping ensure a positive experience for all guests while enjoying a free campsite with full hookups and the natural beauty of western Nebraska.

Key Responsibilities:

·         Greet and assist campers with check-in, site selection, and campground information

·         Provide information about local attractions, regulations, and services

·         Monitor campground for rule compliance and report issues to staff or local law enforcement

·         Light maintenance duties, such as cleaning fire pits, picking up litter, and restocking restroom supplies

·         Check restrooms and showers for cleanliness

·         Clean sinks, mirrors, toilets, showers and floors daily

·         Help maintain a friendly, safe, and welcoming environment

·         Serve as a liaison between visitors and campground management

·         Perform minor landscaping tasks such as watering trees and lawn areas

Qualifications:

·         Friendly and professional communication skills

·         Ability to work independently and reliably with minimal supervision

·         Must enjoy working outdoors and interacting with people from diverse backgrounds

·         Must provide your own RV or camper in good condition

·         Basic knowledge of campground operations is a plus (training will be provided)

·         Ability to commit to the summer season (May through September) and a minimum of 20-24 hours per week (including weekends and holidays)
