Job Description
Dates: Late October – Early May
Job Description: Providing customer service to park visitors.
• Opening/closing and closing visitor center
• Answering questions from basic orientation level (ex. Where is the Wildlife Loop?) to deeper knowledge-based questions (ex. Why do they do the Roundup?) and everything in between.
• Handling money selling park permits.
• Light housekeeping duties (sweeping, dusting, bagging up trash, etc.)
• Uniforms provided. Pants not provided.
Housing Options: Camper or Park Furnished Apartment
1) Volunteer Camp Sites (3 days a week required)
a. Full Hook Up- 50 AMP, water, and sewer
b. Telephone hookup capable (service to be paid for by individual)
c. Fire ring and picnic table at each site
d. Free Laundry available nearby
e. Volunteers are responsible for maintaining their campsite “yard”
f. Wi-fi is available at various locations within the park, but is not a provided amenity
g. Please note that bison are able to move through each of the campgrounds
2) One Bedroom Furnished Apartment (4 days a week required)
a. Living Room, full kitchen, full bath, and one bedroom.
b. Pets not allowed in park housing.
c. Wi-Fi provided but is not fast.
d. Telephone/internet hookup capable (service to be paid for by individual)
e. Free Laundry on-site
