Heath’s Resort is a family-owned lakeside destination established in 1938, located on the Whitefish Chain of Lakes. With 17 cabins, a sandy beach, and a wide range of recreational activities, Heath’s Resort offers guests a welcoming, family-friendly environment rooted in tradition and hospitality.
Camp/Resort Host Position Overview
The Resort/Camp Host is the face of Heath’s Resort, responsible for creating a warm, inviting atmosphere for guests while supporting daily operations. This role combines hospitality, light maintenance, and activity coordination to ensure guests enjoy a safe, memorable stay.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Services
Welcome guests upon arrival and assist with check-in/check-out
Provide information about resort amenities, local attractions, and activities
Respond to guest questions and resolve minor issues promptly
Grounds & Facilities
Perform light maintenance (trash collection, lawn care, fire pit prep, dock assistance)
Monitor cleanliness of common areas
Assist with setup and upkeep of outdoor equipment (kayaks, paddle boats, volleyball nets, etc.)
Activity Support
Help coordinate family-friendly events and recreational activities
Assist with boat rentals and water equipment safety checks
Encourage guest participation in games, campfires, and community gatherings
Hospitality & Safety
Foster a welcoming environment aligned with Heath’s Resort’s family values
Monitor guest safety around the lakefront and recreational areas
Report any concerns or incidents to management
Qualifications
Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Friendly, approachable demeanor with a passion for hospitality. Ability to perform light physical tasks (lifting up to 30 lbs, outdoor work)
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays during peak season
Previous experience in hospitality, customer service, or camp/resort settings preferred.
