Hidden Lake Resort is a 53-acre property located in Fairmount, IN made up of a picturesque fishing pond with a beach, kid friendly play areas, a camp store and 153 seasonal campsites!
We are seeking a dependable, hands-on Maintenance Supervisor to ensure the park remains safe, clean, and fully operational for our guests. This role is ideal for someone who is proactive, organized, and has a well-rounded skill set in general maintenance and landscaping. We are looking for someone who is interested in camping all year round on one of our full-hook up monthly sites and becoming a part of our campground family!
As the campground is only operational for 6 months out of the year, the job would have substantial down time during the off season! The camping season runs from April 15th to October 15th
Job Overview:
As the Maintenance Supervisor, you’ll oversee all aspects of park maintenance, and ensure that the campground’s facilities, equipment, and grounds are maintained to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance on buildings, infrastructure, and recreational areas
Maintain campground grounds: mowing, trimming, landscaping, tree and debris removal
Conduct safety inspections of facilities, playgrounds, and equipment, addressing hazards quickly
Monitor and perform maintenance on equipment, including lawnmowers, tractors, vehicles, and tools
Coordinate emergency repairs and respond promptly to urgent maintenance issues, including minor electrical and plumbing
Oversee cleanliness and sanitation of porta-johns, bathhouse, and shared public spaces
Assist guests with maintenance-related concerns in a professional, courteous manner
Ensure all safety procedures and campground standards are followed
Maintain organized records and communicate maintenance needs to park management
Open and close the park at the beginning and end of season
Wood deliveries, fill propane tanks, and pump septic holding tanks
Qualifications:
Prior experience in general maintenance or groundskeeping
Knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical systems
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues efficiently
Comfortable using power tools, small machinery, and maintenance equipment
Physically capable of lifting, bending, and working outdoors in varied weather conditions
Ability to work weekends, camping holidays, and respond to occasional off-hours issues
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in campground, RV park, or hospitality settings
Familiarity with operating and servicing tractors, mowers, and similar machinery
Strong organizational skills and ability to be available for any issues around the park
