Come be part of the team at Kreische Brewery & Monument Hill State Historic Sites in La Grange, Texas! Enjoy stunning bluff views, rich history, and small-town hospitality while helping care for this one-of-a-kind historic site.

We are seeking single volunteers or couples to serve as site hosts for terms of 2–6 months.

Site hosts assist staff with:

-General maintenance and groundskeeping
-Visitor services and guest engagement
-Special programs and events — including History in Play, Spring Break on the Bluff, Bluff SchuetzenFest, Ich bin ein Amerikaner (Fourth of July) and more.

Position Details

Term Length: Preferably 4 months (ideal periods: Feb–June, June–Sept, Sept–Jan)
Start Date: Position officially opens February 1, but start date and term length are flexible
Service Expectation: ~30 volunteer hours/week (shared if serving as a couple)
Amenities Provided: Full RV hook-ups including water, electricity, and sewer; laundry facilities available onsite

-Enjoy engaging with the public
-Are willing to help with site care and light–to–moderate maintenance tasks
-Want to be part of a positive, supportive, and enthusiastic team with the Texas Historical Commission
