JOB DESCRIPTION:

·        Opportunity Description (Campground): Volunteers will be required to open and close gates of the park at designated times. The park host’s primary is the functional operation of the park. The secondary responsibility is to assist visitors and identify problems/issues inside the park. Volunteers will be required to make random patrol passes through the park to ensure Title 36 is followed by visitors. Volunteers will be required to mow, weed eat, and trim low handing branches. Equipment will be supplied by government.

The Park has a fully operational gate house that the volunteer will be housed out of. A normal rotation consists of an eight (8) day rotation, 2 days on 6 days off. A shift consists of a 12-hour day. Volunteers will NOT be responsible for collecting funds, all funds will be routed through the fee kiosk, or recreation.gov. to be able to cover park, and conduct inspections throughout day. RV pad is supplied with Full hook-ups. Volunteer pairs are preferred; single volunteers may be considered for the position. Volunteers must be able to professionally communicate with other shifts to convey issues and provide end of shirt reports to the next volunteer pair.

Volunteers must complete 24 hours of work per week to qualify for RV site.
