JOB DESCRIPTION:
Mud Mountain is recruiting a Park Host on the scenic White River! General job duties include assisting Park Ranger and maintenance staff with cleaning and maintaining the park to ensure that it is ready for high visitation during peak season. Volunteers play a vital role in helping staff with maintaining a clean and safe park.
Duties:
1. Park Maintenance: Light janitorial and maintenance tasks, picking up garbage, cleaning and maintaining picnic shelters, cleaning algae and moss from buildings, maintaining trails and viewing areas, installing signs, painting, mowing/weeding.
2. Visitor Assistance: Answering regular questions, explaining rules, and interacting positively with park visitors from all backgrounds. Reporting safety issues to Ranger staff promptly and through appropriate channels as needed.
Work Environment:
Volunteers will be working independently in an outdoor setting, with USACE Ranger Staff support.
Background Check Required
Full RV/Trailer hookup (water, sewer, electric) is provided for resident volunteers working a minimum of 25 hours. Hookup fits a 40ft. trailer.
