Camp Host Role – Ramble Campgrounds
Classification: Seasonal/Full-Time
Location: Mosca, CO or Mancos, CO
Pay Grade: Salary, $600/week plus end-of-season bonus
Reports to: Director of Customer Experience/Chief of Staff

Our goal is to become the largest campground operator in the U.S and continue to deliver amazing camping experiences for everyone.
Overview and Impact:
We are currently interviewing for seasonal Camp Host positions at both Ramble at Great Sand Dunes and Ramble at Mesa Verde. This role offers competitive pay, on-site training and healthcare benefits. The best part? You have the opportunity to live and work in a beautiful natural environment for six months that’s minutes from adventures.
Ideal candidates will have experience in camp hosting, hospitality, customer service, or maintenance, and must be able to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Physical stamina is required, with the ability to lift up to 40 pounds and engage in regular standing, walking, and other activities. A reliable recreational vehicle is necessary for onsite living during the season.

Camp Host Responsibilities:
Perform daily checks of campsites and campgrounds to ensure cleanliness and readiness for guest arrivals
Perform basic maintenance tasks on campsite equipment
Handle all weather related tasks in a timely manner
Respond to customer service tickets using Zendesk
Verify guest bookings to ensure guests are at the correct campsites
Coordinate with housekeeping and Ramble headquarters teams to maintain efficient operations
Manage onsite inventory and monitor stock levels
Manage onsite water system including daily and weekly checks
Perform occasional cleaning and groundskeeping/maintenance work as needed
Organize utility sheds and equipment
Conduct evening campsite hospitality checks
*Operate the food and beverage cart to each campsite and offer refreshments at “happy hour” along with deliveries during specific timeframes
Complete other projects as assigned by Ramble Headquarters
Ensure adherence to all Ramble policies and safety procedures
Operate utility vehicles as required
Utilize a Mac computer and phone for daily tasks
Participate in pre-season setup and postseason winterization processes
Maintain punctuality and reliability, notifying Ramble of any work conflicts as soon as possible
Wear Ramble-branded apparel in a professional manner
Maintain a clean and professional campsite appearance
Time Commitment:
Ramble at Great Sand Dunes Field Staff Training: May 5th, 2025 – October 23rd, 2025
Scheduled Hours:
Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday: 3 PM – 10 PM
Tuesdays are Camp Host day off
Be on-call for emergencies (responding to customer service tickets in a timely manner)
Availability required for Memorial Day, Fourth of July, and Labor Day weekends
Qualifications:
Exceptional customer service skills with a welcoming, professional attitude
Self-motivated with strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to work independently for extended periods of time
Enjoys working outdoors and in a physical, active role
Strong maintenance skills, including operating a utility cart
Proficiency with Apple products and Google Suite
Must pass a background check (criminal and driving history)

Training and Preparation:
Comprehensive in-person, online, and in-field training provided by Ramble staff
Paid first aid certification
Living and Working Accommodations:
Hosts will receive a campsite to accommodate up to a 40-ft RV or trailer with water and sewer hookups
A separate shelter is provided for office space and/or additional sleeping accommodations
Free Starlink Wi-Fi provided onsite
Tools and equipment necessary for the job are provided by Ramble
Ramble will provide an Apple computer, phone and Apple Watch for work use
