JOB DESCRIPTION:
Did you grow up camping and have always loved the family atmosphere and smell of a campfire. Would you want to experience a summer in the peace and serenity of a lakeside camp site? This is your opportunity to experience those things for free while providing a benefit to the same community you love! We are seeking self-motivated, charismatic individuals or couples to help us run Laurel Branch and Axtel campgrounds this upcoming season. You will be able to meet and greet campers as they check in and out and help point them in the right direction.
A campsite is provided in a volunteer exclusive area with water, electricity, and sewer hookups in exchange for 24 hours of volunteering per week as an individual or 30 hours split between a couple.
Specific Duties Include:
Be in uniform and available during all work hours.
• Hand out Car Passes and verify reservations.
• Check Campers in and out.
• Control the flow of visitors in the campground.
• Open and close Beach Gates as needed.
• Greet campers and the public.
• Distribute Comment Cards when applicable.
• work with Ranger staff to solve any problems that arise.
