General Manager

We are currently looking for an energetic, guest service-minded individual to manage our campground and deli, located in Shelter Cove California. This is a full-time, year-round position.

Job Description:

·         Hire, train, and lead a staff of 10-15 people

·         Create the team schedule and manage payroll to sales

·         Fill any staffing needs in the deli or park. Lead by example

·         Drive a positive employee culture based on collaborative and proactive communication, strong work ethics, and teamwork

·         Support and develop the team with any training and coaching needs they have. Follow up regularly regarding delegated tasks and general job performance

·         Monitor stock levels in the deli and for firewood. Place, receive, and stock orders as necessary

·         Suggest any improvements to SOPs and inventory management to Dawn Ann and Owners

·         Maintain positive vendor relationships

·         Ensure cleanliness and Food Safety code compliance in the deli

·         Perform opening and closing MOD duties for the deli and park

·         Walk the property regularly and delegate maintenance/upkeep needs to camp host staff

·         Enforce rules, policies, and procedures

·         Greet customers, answer phones, and manage the park’s social media presence

·         Resolve any challenging customer or guest issues

·         Provide all guests with excellent experiences. Seek feedback and ways to improve

Skills required:

Strong interpersonal skills and service mindset, operations management, leadership, collaboration, solutions oriented, training and development, food safety knowledge, retail management, inventory management, time management, delegation, relationship development, experience in Campground management is a plus!

This position is a salaried position and includes a full-hook-up RV site and utilities. We are looking to fill this position by early April.

We are located in California’s Lost Cost, where the King Range meets the ocean. The area is a protected area and creates a safe habitat for wildlife. Harbor seals, seal lions and elephant seals are in abundance, along with various species of sea birds and blacktail deer.

Explore the black sand beaches, spend the day kayaking, fishing or hiking, take a day trip to see the redwoods, whatever you decide, there are many adventures to explore.
