Camp Host – Sundance Camp
A Peaceful Escape on Lake Texoma
Looking for a slower pace, quiet mornings, and a chance to reconnect with nature while living near beautiful Lake Texoma? Sundance Camp is looking for a friendly, dependable Camp Host to help care for our small lakeside property and create a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
Sundance Camp is a hidden gem on Lake Texoma designed for guests looking to unplug, slow down, and enjoy the outdoors. Our cozy property features 7 cabins and 7 RV sites in a peaceful setting surrounded by nature. Unlike larger resorts, Sundance Camp focuses on relaxation, simplicity, and meaningful guest experiences.
At the start of the year, the devastating North Texas freeze caused significant damage to the property. While Sundance Camp remains incredibly beautiful and full of charm, we are actively working to restore and re-imagine the property into something even more special.
For the right person, this is more than just a camp host position — it’s an opportunity to be part of rebuilding something meaningful.
Creative, inspired, hands-on, and event-minded individuals will love Sundance Camp because it truly is an open canvas waiting to be repainted. We’re looking for someone who sees potential, enjoys bringing ideas to life, and wants to help shape the future atmosphere and guest experience of the property.
What You’ll Do
As Camp Host, you’ll help support the daily operations and overall atmosphere of Sundance Camp. Responsibilities may include:
Greeting guests and assisting with check-ins
Helping guests locate cabins and RV sites
Monitoring the property and maintaining a clean, welcoming environment
Light grounds keeping and upkeep projects
Assisting with restoration projects and property improvements
Emptying trash and helping maintain common areas
Assisting with guest needs and questions during their stay
Supporting operations with occasional projects around the property
Helping create a peaceful, friendly atmosphere for guests
Assisting with small events, creative projects, and guest experiences as the property continues to grow
What We’re Looking For
Friendly and welcoming personality
Dependable and self-motivated
Comfortable working outdoors
Appreciation for nature and quiet environments
Creative mindset and willingness to help build something special
Positive attitude and willingness to help where needed
Ability to work weekends and holidays when needed
Handy skills or maintenance experience are a plus, but not required
RV Site Information: Sundance Camp can accommodate larger RVs and may be a great fit for applicants with trailers over 30 feet in length.
