Job Description: Campground Host
Location: The Farm Campground & Events, Eureka Springs, Arkansas
Position Type: Year-Round, Volunteer Position
Overview:
The Farm Campground & Events, nestled in the scenic beauty of Eureka Springs, is seeking a reliable and friendly Campground Host to help ensure the smooth operation and welcoming atmosphere of our campground. This is a year-round, volunteer position where the host will receive a free campsite with water and electric hookups, as well as the opportunity to attend all of our exciting events at no cost.
As a Campground Host, you will be the face of The Farm Campground & Events, providing excellent customer service, help maintain the cleanliness and organization of the campground, and ensuring a positive experience for all guests.
This position only requires 1-2 hours a day along with occasionally assisting campers on an as needed basis.
Perfect opportunity for couples to share the duties to receive a free place to camp year round.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guest Services: Make campsite rounds every evening, greet guests and ensure all guests have checked-in and paid. Block sites in the system for all drop-in campers who did not make an online reservation, assist with check-ins if needed, answer any questions, and provide information about the campground and events.
- Campsite Management: Hang reserved site tags for upcoming reservations and remove after the guests stay. Place any relevant bulletins at main check-in station ie: Fire Bans etc.
- Campground Maintenance: Alert management of any issues or upkeep that is required, ensuring all sites are tidy and common areas (bathrooms, showers, etc.) are clean and well-stocked
- Safety & Security: Monitor the campground to ensure safety and security for all guests. This includes reporting any suspicious activity or maintenance concerns to management. Ensure all guests are complying with The Farm rules as outlined/posted, ie. All dogs are on-leash at all times, fire bans are being adhered to, quiet hours are being respected, etc.
- Communication: Maintain good communication with campground management and staff regarding any issues or needs regarding the property or the guests including both monthly campers as well as nightly campers.
- Guest Relations: Foster a friendly and welcoming atmosphere for all visitors, assisting with any special requests or concerns to enhance their stay.
Qualifications:
- Friendly, approachable, and able to provide exceptional customer service.
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Must be drug free
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- A cell phone to communicate with management and to be able to check/edit the campground management system.
- A passion for the outdoors and community events.
- Reliable transportation to and from The Farm Campground & Events.
- Must be able to commit to a year-round position and be available for regular check-ins, event assistance, and general upkeep.
