Job Description
Spring 2026 (April 15 – June 28) | Montana
Are you someone who loves working with your hands, being outdoors, and building meaningful spaces from the ground up? We’re inviting a reliable individual or couple with construction or building experience to join us for a special spring season in one of the most beautiful places in Montana.
At Timber Wolf & Wolf Heart Retreat Center, we’re not just looking for help—we’re looking for partners. People who enjoy collaboration, take initiative, and appreciate working side by side with mutual respect, clear communication, and a good sense of humor. We work right alongside you, problem-solving together and sharing pride in what we create.
The Setting: We sit on 20 forested acres surrounded by national forest and sweeping mountain views in every direction. We’re nestled within over 3 million acres of protected wilderness—the Bob Marshall Wilderness, Great Bear Wilderness, and Glacier National Park—forming the largest continuous wilderness area in the lower 48 states.
You’ll be just minutes from blue-ribbon trout fishing, wild rivers, endless hiking, and only 9 miles from the West Gate of Glacier National Park.
The Work: Spring is our shoulder season and our primary building season. This is when vision becomes reality. Projects include: building decks and pergolas, installing fencing, clearing downed trees, landscaping meditation gardens, converting a former horse barn into an indoor gathering space, and erecting yurt kits. These are hands-on, practical, and collaborative projects—ideal for folks with construction, carpentry, or general building skills who enjoy seeing tangible results at the end of the day.
The Vision: While we’re known as a welcoming, family-friendly campground, our deeper purpose is growing into a retreat and event center—a place for small gatherings, wellness retreats, workshops, and creative or contemplative experiences rooted in nature. Much of what we build is shaped by the people who help create it. Your skills, ideas, and care will leave a lasting imprint here.
Daily Life: Daily responsibilities include construction, clearing, landscaping, and general maintenance. We have a few different lodging options available, including a shaded RV site with full hook-ups if you bring your own RV.
At the heart of Timber Wolf & Wolf Heart is shared stewardship—of the land, the guests, and each other. We value teamwork, pride in quality work, and creating a place that feels grounded, welcoming, and alive.
If this sounds like the kind of place where you’d enjoy spending your spring—building, learning, and being part of a small, cooperative team—we’d love to hear from you.
