We had a host couple cancel due to family obligations and so we are looking to fill these customer service host spots for January – May 8, 2023. Your arrival date can be as early as mid-December. We get many experienced and returning host volunteers at Cape Perpetua Scenic Area, but it is also a great spot to start your host volunteering journey!

Hosts are asked to work 4 days each week with sometimes variable hours (about 6 1/2 hours a day). The host’s main duty will be to staff the front desk of the Visitor Center or Devil’s Churn Info Booth.

Hosts will be selling Forest Service recreation passes and the daily operation of the Discover your Northwest gift shop including sales and operation of cash register and credit card machine and some light cleaning of the visitor center. We need people who enjoy providing excellent customer service and who enjoy learning about the natural and cultural features of this Forest. This opportunity will close as soon as an applicant is chosen.

Forest service uniforms or vests are required and provided by the Forest Service. Vests are green and should be worn over dark solid colored shirts. Brown shoes/boots are required with the uniform.

Visitor Center RV Site: We offer a level RV site at the Visitor Center. Full hook up ( 50/30/15) that includes electric, water wi-fi and propane reimbursement. All vehicles & RV must have current tags during time of volunteering. There is currently a washer and dryer at the Visitor Center available.

Cape Perpetua Campground RV Site: Site is along side a quiet stream in an old growth. Hookups include water, sewer, 30 amp electrical. There is a washer/drier and wireless internet service.
