JOB DESCRIPTION:

An RV site is provided for this position.

 

RV SITE DESCRIPTION

– Up to 50 Amp hookup with potable water and septic.

– Washer and dryer available in office building on site.

– Internet, trash, and recycling also provided.

– RV pad dimensions are approx. 12 ft x 45 ft with small gravel “patio”.

– RV pad located adjacent to visitor parking lot, next to walking/biking trail.

 

Volunteer Duty Hours and Tours

– Typical Schedule: Thursday through Sunday; last 3 Wednesdays in August for spring Chinook spawning

– Hours: 9:00 – 3:00

– We are flexible for adjusting schedules to meet personal needs, just let management know.

 

Giving Tours

– Please attempt to greet all visitors as they come into the hatchery grounds during your scheduled hours.

– Ask if they would like a tour, if not they are free to a self-guided tour, as long as they do not go into fenced/closed areas unattended.

 

Additional Duties

– Clean visitor restrooms at least weekly and restock supplies.

– Keep window sills and other areas in main hatchery building clean and free of cobwebs.

– Maintain flower beds.

– Refill displays with pamphlets, coloring books, and other materials.

– Along with the staff living on-station, keep an eye on the facility after hours and report anything of concern to the Manager.

– Empty trash at front of building as needed.

– Refill trout feed bucket as needed.

 

Other tasks as assigned such as:

· Help with fish culture duties. This may entail feeding fish and cleaning rearing units.

· Help with maintenance and lawn care activities. This may include painting, mowing, weed eating, etc.
