Job Description
Waterside RV resort is a new, low density, family-owned RV resort located in Sargent, TX. Sargent is a beautiful, unspoiled fishing village on the Gulf Coast, near Houston and Galveston.
Our park caters to upscale RV-ers. The park’s location, coastal climate and onsite water activities such as fishing and boating are the primary amenities.
Our ideal camp host will serve as the resort’s ambassador to our guests. Reservations, payments and check in are all done on line, so guests pull in and park themselves at their assigned spot.
As the onsite manager, the host will make themselves available for guest assistance and keep a tidy, uncluttered space and serve as the example for our guests.
Some minor park maintenance may be required such as resetting breakers, providing another set of hands when needed by a guest and generally keeping the park clean and neat. The camp host will maintain a friendly and helpful attitude toward guests and extend the hospitality Waterside’s becoming known for.
After check out, the camp host will make sure each spot is clean and ready for the next guest. —a clean slab, a fire pit empty of ashes, the picnic table in its place and a litter free area.
As our services grow, it may be necessary to deliver small bundles of firewood, using the resort’s wagon. The park is about 350 feet long, so it’s a short and easy walk to all the spots.
Our park is small and low volume. We don’t experience big check in and check out days, so prepping for the next guests should be easy.
This Camp Host role is basically an on-site presence for guest assistance, to keep the park clean and serve as the eyes and ears of Waterside’s owners.
In exchange for this, we’re happy to offer a free spot with all utilities included. The minimum stay is expected to be one month. Our preference is for this to be longer term, subject to both parties being satisfied. The camp host is not an employee of Waterside RV Resort and no financial compensation or employment benefits are included.
