Work Camper

Sage Hills Golf & RV Resort is in Warden, WA in the heart of the Columbia Basin. We are located 12 miles south of Moses Lake, 200 miles from Seattle and 100 miles from Spokane. We feature 41 large grassy RV sites for our guests that come complete with water, sewer, power, WiFi, no cable but satellite reception is good. The is also a restaurant, heated pool (in season), showers, propane, laundry facility, and ice.

Our public 18 Hole Championship Golf Course stretches out to 6,591 yards from the black tees for a par 71. The course rating is 74.2 and has a slope rating of 122. Sage Hills Golf & RV Resort opened in 1965 and continues to provide locals and travelers alike with affordable and enjoyable golf. The fairways meander throughout the landscape of desert sage brush and large deciduous trees. The course is an oasis of green fairways, mature trees, and true fast greens. The course can be open all year depending on the weather. We have very friendly Men’s and Women’s Clubs that are very active. We are close to many activities and events that happen all year long: Wine tours, Water Parks, the Gorge Concert Amphitheater, Car Shows, Fishing Tournaments, Boating & Water Activities, and the Columbia Basin Wildlife Refuge. The weather is usually terrific with 300 days of sunshine and an annual average rainfall of 7.8 inches. You’ll also find plenty of hunting and fishing in the area.

HELP WANTED:

Looking for honest, warm, dependable couples/singles to serve as volunteers in a friendly, professional environment. Hours will vary by peak and non-peak seasons. We are looking for volunteers for the whole season or part of the season with a minimum 3 month stay. The season usually runs from mid-March until mid-November. Volunteers work 12 hours/week/person (singles 24 hours) in exchange for their site, water, sewer, power, garbage, WiFi, pool privileges, and best of all – unlimited golf including cart (when available). Our goal is to provide our customers with the best experience possible; that includes smiling, friendly staff, well maintained grounds and facilities, and great food. We have a variety of jobs throughout the resort for an average of 15 work campers. We sometimes have paid hours available for work campers, depending on the job.

PRO SHOP/RV OFFICE:

Looking for work campers year round. During the season the Pro Shop regularly has 2 or 3 shifts; opening, mid-day, and closing working three, four-hour shifts on average. Understanding the game of golf is necessary for monitoring the first tee, slow play and etiquette. Computer skills are needed for Pro Shop sales, and RV & golf reservations. Ability to answer phones, reserving tee times, taking RV reservations and answering questions about the resort. Must be able to drive carts up and down from the downstairs garage to the front of the Pro Shop if necessary. Periodically cleaning, organizing, vacuuming and maintaining product displays.

GOLF COURSE MAINTENANCE:

3 – 4 individuals needed. Shifts average 3 days/wk, 4 hr. shifts usually from 6am to 10:30am. Jobs include maintaining bunkers, mowing tees and approaches, fairway mowing, greens surround mowing, course setting, deck mowing, hand watering, misc. weeding around trees, posts, etc., equipment repair mechanic.

POOL:

Individual for cleaning, maintaining the pool and chemical testing. This is a job that needs to be done every other day and sometimes daily from May 1 to September 1.

GOLF CARTS:

1 -2 individuals – maintaining golf cart battery water levels, cleaning carts and general maintenance. Driving carts up from the basement garage in the early morning, taking used carts back to garage for charging and bringing a new fleet up in the afternoon and the same late in the evening. This job would be best for a single individual looking to fill a 24 hour per week job.

MARSHALL:

Individual knowledgeable in course ettiquette and speed of play needed on weekends roughly between the hours of 11am and 4pm. Needed on weekends only. You can also assist with golf carts.

RESTROOMS:

Individual to clean our restrooms and laundry room. Our restrooms are cleaned 3 – 4 days/week. General cleaning, mopping, sanitizing, re-supplying. Our restrooms are clean and very sanitary. There are 3 men’s and 3 women’s on the facility.
