Job Description
The Spruce Lodge is a small, “mom and pop” hotel/RV park located in South Fork, Colorado. This area is known as the “basecamp to the silver thread byway” and is a popular destination for those who are passing through to adventure or staying and taking advantage of local adventures.
We have 8, rentable hotel rooms available year round and 8 full hook-up RV spaces available from mid April to Sept 30.
South Fork is a small community and is a quick drive to several quaint mountain towns, Wolf Creek Ski Area, Rio Grande Regional Hospital and multiple annual festivals and activities. It is a prime location to access all the beauty of mountainous Colorado and the 4 corners. There are adventures, hot springs, rafting, lakes and spectacular little road trips in every direction!
POSITION IMMEDIATELY AVAILABLE:
We are adding one new Staff Member or Couple for Assistant Innkeeper/Guest Services Associate position. Ideally, we would like candidates to commit to July 2024 – March 2025 with an opportunity to possibly extend. We will consider candidates who can commit to a shorter time period.
The Innkeeper/Guest Associate duties include Friday – Sunday weekly and on-call for guest emergencies. The bulk of responsibilities are between the hours of 10:00 am and 3:00 pm and includes housekeeping, including laundry, and room turnover in preparation for contactless check-ins. Guests will occasionally require assistance outside of these hours through an on-call telephone. Additional responsibilities include property ground clean-up and guest services satisfaction. Total working hours will range from 15-25 hours per week.
Monday through Thursday management is provided by another, onsite innkeeper couple who runs a nonprofit on the property.
COMPENSATION: $500 week + living quarters in a small, one bedroom cabin, with kitchenette, on the property. Additional benefits include all utilities and access to laundry facilities for personal laundry and opportunity for additional hours when primary innkeeper couple is away from the property. A dedicated RV space is also available to a hired applicant.
