ADDRESS: 9700 SW 328th Street Homestead, Florida, 33033

DATES: 11/1/2024 – 4/30/2025

DEPT: National Park Service

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Biscayne National Park is offering an exciting RV opportunity for winter 2024-2025! We have a limited RV site available in exchange for a commitment of 32 hours per week, per person. We’re seeking dedicated individuals with a passion for public engagement and marine conservation, eager to work in a dynamic environment covering a wide range of National Park Service topics. The majority of your time will be spent with the Division of Interpretation, where you’ll greet visitors at the front desk, lead engaging programs, and support Environmental Education initiatives. You may also assist other park divisions such as Maintenance, Resource Management, or Administration, depending on your skills and the park’s needs. Note: This is not a Campground Host position.

We’re looking for team players who value professionalism, kindness, and exceptional visitor service. Volunteers must have their own RV or van (less than 35′ long and 15′ wide) and will share the area with one other RV/van. The parking area also serves as a staging site for boat trailers and equipment. Both couples and individuals are welcome, but all onsite volunteers must commit to the 32-hour weekly requirement. Volunteers must be 18 or older. While bilingual (Spanish/English) skills and marine biology or boating experience are a plus, they are not required. Excellent customer service skills are essential.

Volunteers should be available for weekends, holidays, and night shifts. Training begins in November, with preference given to those able to commit through the entire November–April season. Typical work weeks consist of four consecutive eight-hour days, with weather ranging from hot to cool and the occasional appearance of pesky bugs.
