Location: Kemp Olson Park – Toledo, Washington
Live and work in a scenic community park within walking distance of the Cowlitz River!
Kemp Olson Park offers a peaceful and well-maintained setting for outdoor living in the heart of Toledo. Located just a short walk from the Cowlitz River and downtown amenities—including grocery stores, restaurants, and a hardware store—this Park Host opportunity lets you enjoy small-town life while serving the community in a beautiful, natural space.
🛠️ Position Overview:
The City of Toledo is seeking a friendly, dependable individual or couple to serve as the Park Host at Kemp Olson Park. As Park Host, you will be an essential part of keeping the park clean, welcoming, and safe. The park uses an online reservation system to manage campers, and you’ll act as a key point of contact for visitors and city staff.

Full hookup RV site (water, sewer, electricity, garbage)
Three parking spots
Wi-Fi hotspot provided
Optional internet service upgrade at host’s expense
Key Responsibilities:
Restroom & Shower Maintenance: Clean twice daily during peak season; once daily in off-season. Stock supplies, mop floors, remove trash, and perform deep cleanings monthly.
Kitchen Shelter: Ensure the kitchen is clean and ready by 9:00 AM for rentals; maintain sink, fireplace, and general cleanliness.
Playground & Water Park: Inspect equipment weekly, pick up litter daily, pressure wash quarterly, and clear leaves regularly.
Groundskeeping: Mow lawns, weed-eat, trim limbs, clean gutters, and assist with storm cleanup. City provides equipment, but familiarity with riding lawn mowers and landscaping tools is required.
Campsite Assistance: Greet visitors, help them locate their reserved sites, verify nightly registrations, and check utility hookups.
Trash & Litter: Maintain clean grounds, empty trash cans and dog stations daily.
Monitoring & Reporting: Observe and report vandalism, hazards, or needed repairs to City Hall or the Police Department.
Special Events: Be available during city events as needed.
Documentation: Submit monthly checklists and quarterly timesheets.
Requirements:
Must be physically able to perform outdoor tasks year-round.
Friendly, professional demeanor with strong communication skills.
Experience with landscaping equipment, including riding mowers.
Must live on-site in personal RV and complete a Federal I-9 form.
Coverage is included under the City’s volunteer insurance program.
Must follow all city policies and park rules.
