South End Area Camp Host Available at Beautiful Lafayette Blues Springs (South Area)

 

 

Maintenance

 

Lafayette Blue Springs State Park

Location: South Area Campground Site

Park Provides: Site, Electricity, Water, Sewer, Tools and Supplies to be used only for Volunteer work for Lafayette Blue Springs Park

Volunteer Hours per Week for site: 20

Duties:

Maintain personal site in clean, safe and orderly manner for conducting host duties

with general public. Maintain park security. Inform and remind park visitors of park

rules and guidelines as necessary. Conduct all public contact in a professional

manner. Report to Park Ranger or Park Staff any situation you don’t feel is

appropriate in a State Park or of any maintenance items that need immediate

attention .

Daily:

Open park gate by 8:00 AM and close park gate at sunset+ 15 minutes.

Collect litter in picnic, swimming, parking areas, and around cabins daily

Empty trash cans in whole park (including under cabins on needed days, check DAR report)

Blow all sidewalks clean, pavilions, stairs, and around spring daily.

Clean day use bathrooms and restock daily, as well as keep signs clean as needed

Notify Ranger of Camper arrivals.

Register campers on paper and give instructions to guests.

Sell Firewood and record numbers and totals on tracking sheet as needed.

Report to Park Ranger/Staff all safety, supply and maintenance needs.

Weekly:

Keep all campground sites clean and safe for public occupancy.

Remove cobwebs from picnic tables, pavilions and buildings.

Brush down rain splatter from buildings, tables, signposts and campsite utilities. (As needed)

Clean fire rings, BBQ grills in campground and cabin areas . Place cold ashes and trash in dumpster.

Monthly:

Turn in hours worked every two week as well as put them in for approval

Keep training needs completed as required.

Note: We are a remote location and most of the time signal for phone service is scarce unless you have personnel WiFi.
