Job Description

Lytle Creek firing Line has immediate openings for motivated self-contained range caretakers in California.

Lytle Creek Firing Line is located at the end of a paved road only 11 miles off I-15 providing easy access for any size rig. We are looking for campers: singles or couples to be caretakers for an outdoor public shooting range located in Southern California’s beautiful San Bernardino National Forest. A gated ** acre range sitting at 4,500’ we have a mild climate with views of the San Gabriel mountains.  Wildlife and star filled nights are common.

Knowledge and experience with firearms, range operations, customer service, and sales are all pluses but not necessary as we can train you. There are opportunities for additional paid hours in the front office, store and on the line as a Range Safety Officer. Boondocking /dry camping experience are also a plus.

In addition to light maintenance, the caretaker will oversee the range “after hours” when the office is closed, and the normal staff has left for the day. In exchange for 20 hours per week we provide power (20amp generator), water, sewer, propane and internet.

On your off time you will find 4×4 and hiking trails nearby. Located between LA and Palm Springs we are less than 58 miles from Disneyland, 59 miles from Big Bear Ski Resort, 73 miles from La Brea Tar Pits, and 75 miles from the beaches. Visit our website at www.lytlecreekrange.com. or Facebook.
