JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Lowman Ranger District is currently seeking to fill one Camp Host opportunity at Pine Flats Campground.
A free campsite will be provided for the Host(s) who must have a self-contained RV or trailer. Tools and supplies will be furnished by the Forest Service.
Pine Flats Campground
Pine Flats Campground is located 7 miles west of Lowman, Idaho along the Banks-Lowman Highway at an elevation of 3,700 feet. Visitors enjoy rafting, kayaking, and fishing on the South Fork of the Payette River. Large Ponderosa Pine trees provide partial shade for the campground during the summer season. A 0.25 mile long nature trail begins in the campground and leads to a natural hot springs soaking pool on the riverside. The campground contains 25 sites including some double-family sites. Each site includes picnic tables, campfire rings, and grills. The campground includes two stations for drinking water, two vaults, and garbage service.
A subsistence reimbursement allowance is available. There is no cell phone coverage in the area.
Boise, Cascade, Crouch, and Stanley are the closest towns for grocery shopping and resupply.
Propane and water are provided weekly by the Forest Service
Adults are preferred, as are seniors or a family. The start and end dates of this opportunity will vary depending on weather conditions/snow.
