Maintenance Host

A volunteer opportunity to participate in the maintenance and preservation of Oregon State Parks Premiere Historic Site!

This historical landmark in the beautiful John Day Valley is located near the Strawberry Mountains Wilderness. Here you will find opportunities for snowshoeing, cross country skiing, ice fishing, hiking, biking and exploring other nearby historic sites.

We are looking for an individual or team that enjoys assisting in maintenance duties, property landscaping, and an interest in historic preservation and educational opportunities.

A full hook-up host site, with 50 amp service, washer and dryer, and wifi access and great cell phone service can all be yours if interested!

Experience with lawn servicing equipment a plus.
