DESCRIPTION:

Volunteer campground hosts at Coal Banks Landing Campground work a 7 days on, 7 days off schedule, allowing them time to rest, and explore the beauty and adventures that Montana has to offer. On duty campground hosts will work primarily out of the log cabin visitor contact station that features WiFi and electricity.

The host trailer-pads are full service with water, electricity and septic.

The campground host is primarily responsible for ensuring fees are paid for multi-day river trips and campground services, as well as monitoring the drinking water system and collecting river trip departure forms. Hosts can also expect to disseminate information regarding paddling the river, explaining rules and regulations, ensuring visitors have all required equipment, posting weather forecasts and river flows, etc.

Campground hosts are also expected to maintain the facilities at Coal Banks by cleaning and stocking the two vault toilets, watering and mowing the lawn and occasionally running a string-trimmer and z-turn mower.
