Job Description
Blue Mesa Outpost Campground, overlooking the biggest body of water in Colorado, is seeking committed, positive, self-motivated camp workers for Summer 2024. We are taking applications and will begin the interview process soon.
We have open two primary roles:
1.) housekeeping
2.) landscaping / maintenance
Housekeeping will generally help clean cabins, the bathhouse and game room. Each cabin is small, one bedroom, bathroom, kitchenette, living / dining room. The bathhouse is also small, only a washer, dryer, and single restroom. We have high standards for cleaning, which is what our guests expect. Previous experience preferred.
The landscaping / maintenance role will help with weed wacking / spraying, maintaining RV sites (raking, clearing fire pits, weeding), trash pick up, general grounds keeping, staining cabins, painting porches, etc. The successful candidate must be able to lift at least 50 pounds. Experience with electrical, plumbing, painting, vehicle maintenance is a plus.
We’re seeking commitments from mid-May until October 2024. Hours are approximately 30 to 40 a week per couple, or 20 to 30 hours a week per individual, but there is flexibility.
We significantly discount our FHU RV sites for camp workers. Compensation is wages of $14/hour minus the discounted value of your RV site, which leaves you with plenty of pocket money each month. Camp workers also receive a store discount, laundry allowance, and free use of the game room.
Our campground overlooks Blue Mesa Reservoir. If you love nature, this is it, fishing, boating, hiking, biking, and ORV/ATV trails.
