DESCRIPTION
Utah Recreation Company has a unique opportunity for a few individuals and couples to camp for FREE for the entire 2021 season in the beautiful Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest!
We are seeking friendly and hard-working individuals and couples to be ON-CALL CAMP HOSTS for our 2021 season! This is an exciting opportunity to camp for free and spend time outdoors, with the potential to be transitioned into a regular camp host position.
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY: If you are selected for this position, you will be brought on as an employee but will not be added to the schedule or authorized to work unless you are transitioned to a regular camp host position. There is a possibility that you will not be scheduled for any hours throughout the entire season. Whether you are scheduled or not, you will be provided a free site throughout the entire season.

ABOUT THE POSITION:
Classification: Seasonal, Part-Time
Location: Campgrounds throughout the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest. You may be required to move to different campgrounds throughout the season.
Site Provided for Position: Yes – completely free to you!
Wage: $10.35 per hour (you will not be authorized to work or report hours unless you are transitioned to a regular camp host position)
Schedule: You will not be scheduled for any hours unless you are transitioned to a regular camp host position
ABOUT YOU:
Own a well-maintained RV suitable to stay in for the season
Willing to stay on-site in the 2021 season as a back-up host, with the potential to transition to a regular camp host position.
If you are transitioned to a regular camp host, we will require:
Incredible guest services skills
Experience in the recreation industry preferred
Knowledgeable about visitor services and amenities in the forest and campground
Strong communication and organization skills
Positive attitude toward the campground environment
Genuine concern for guests’ experience
Ability to work unsupervised
Ability to follow directions and work in a team environment
JOB DUTIES:
No job duties, other than using your free site and being available to transition to a regular camp host position.
If you are transitioned to a regular camp host position, your job duties will be:
Greet arriving guests, assist with check-in and check-out
Take an active role in seeing that facilities and equipment are properly maintained and used appropriately
Clean fire pits, bear-lockers campsites, parking areas, and roadways
Paint/clean picnic tables as needed
Clean restrooms as per housekeeping schedule
Ensure vehicle procedures are followed in the use of assigned vehicles
Know, understand, and follow established rules and standards for housekeeping and sanitation
Monitor campground loop and handle any concerns or questions from guests
Sell company-provided firewood, if applicable to location
Be a friendly and helpful resource to visitors
Enforce campground rules and regulations
Resolve conflicts among campers and report problems to management as needed
Collect payment from campers and envelopes from fee tubes
Weed trimming and lawn mowing

While you will not be performing work for the company as an on-call host, you must meet these physical requirements in the event that you are transitioned to a regular camp host position.
