Job Description
Delaware North Parks and Resorts is hiring a Dining Room Supervisor to join our team at Kings Canyon in California.
Some locations may implement a vaccination requirement in the future if required by federal, state, or local law.
Responsibilities
- Assign duties to scheduled dining room associates.
- Perform some service tasks, such as clearing tables, serving food and drinks, seating guests, and cashier duties when necessary.
- Investigate and resolve complaints regarding food quality, service, or accommodations.
- Review work procedures and operational problems to determine ways to improve service, performance, or safety.
- Assist Restaurant Manager with associate trainings and compliance.
- Monitor daily and hourly cleaning.
- Manage labor and profit loss.
- Ensure proper cash handling and tip record keeping for shift.
- Ensure associates are kept informed of any changes of policies or events.
- Other duties assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years’ supervisory experience preferred.
- Must be self-motivated, able to work without direct supervision, and eager to be challenged and initiate projects and opportunities.
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
- Excellent customer service and employee relation skills.
- A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand and walk for entire length of shift, including walking up and down stairs and lifting as the work duties demand.
